Medieval Halberds
Knight Edge has two halberds in their offering including the European medieval halberd and German halberd. Both are authentic looking and battle ready.
Halberds were mostly used against mounted horsemen to pull them to the ground and they were also very useful to deflect long spears and pikes. Halberds had many uses and because of their simplicity they were inexpensive to manufacture. They were similar to Swiss voulge. This medieval weapon was used as the preferred weapon of guard officers and it is still used by the Swiss Guard in the Vatican
