The first permanent gallows was believed to be set up in Tyburn England in 1571, where is was common for 10,000 people to come and witness hangings, and 50,000 or more when there was a lot of publicity. This functioning scale replica medieval gallows is made in Italy of hardwood and metal. The hanging gallows stands about 13" high.
