Wearable 17th Century Knights Armor

Wearable 17th Century Knights Armor

17th Century Knights Armor

Throughout the centuries, the two great centers of armour manufacturing remained in Italy and Germany wherein talented craftsmen created armour for Nobility. Italian armour was highly prized for superior style and Germany for incredible detailing, it is no wonder that the workshops of the time copied the best features and styles of each other and by the 16th century, Germans had adopted the full rounded outlines of Italian armour while the Italians took note of the decorative designs and characteristics popular with German armour.

Our superior reproduction 17th century full suit of plate Armour boasts a basinet style helm and smooth plates, utilizing the artistry of both great armour centers and is crafted in the styling tradition of those master craftsmen who created the originals for kings and knights throughout Europe. See the difference between this suit of armour from Italy and others made elsewhere, there is no comparison. This Life size and wearable articulated Suit of Armour is made of steel and stands about 6-1/2 foot high to top of helm on its own wood base (as shown) and comes complete with sword.

Roman Centurion Armor Costume - Lorica Segmentata
Imperial Roman Centurion Armour

Imperial Roman Centurion Armour

Rome ruled one of the greatest empires the world has ever seen, an empire of unified government, communication, and a strong army of superbly well-drilled fighters whose discipline and weapons proved superior to most others. A great chapter in mans history and its understanding of warfare in the classical world culminates from the battles fought by the great armies of Rome and the legions of troopers whose loyalty and support gave power to such Generals such as Julius Caesar.

The main armor of a soldier of this time consisted of a "Lorica Segmentata" cuirass whose segmented sections and hinged steel pieces riveted to leather straps afforded maneuverability with the added protection of plate steel. The front was laced to fit. The protection of the head was also vital, and this was accomplished by the wearing of a helm. This armor display features the Imperial Roman Helm with a magnificent red plume, worn by Generals and those in command, provided the needed protection to the head while still allowing for an unobstructed line of sight important in battle. Display strength and honor in your home or business with this museum quality beautifully hand-crafted 18 gauge Roman armor with brass detailing.
