Swords History - 7th Century AD


Celtic Norse

Viking Sword - The Viking swords were an example in craftsmanship and swordsmanship. Many of them featured lavished ornaments on their guards and pommels. The handles were often incrusted with precious stones and metals. The Viking sword featured straight edged blade that tapered slightly and ended with a rounded point.  The swords, on average, measured between 34 to 44 inches in length.
