Pewter Knight Miniatures - 15th Century Italian Calvary Knight 

The armor style depicted on this fine pewter figure was worn by the distinguished Captain Bartolomeo d'Alviano (1455-1515) who was commissioned by the "Republic of Venice"(today's Northeastern Italy) in the defense of their region during the great battles of 1508 against the armies of the Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian. This fine Italian pewter figurine is shown with his mighty sword.
