| Medieval War Hammer |
Medieval War Hammer
War Hammer - is a melee weapon intended for close combat. The weapon
was available in different sizes. The most often used war hammer was
similar in size to regular mace and the largest was similar in size to a
halberd, these war hammers were called bec de corbin. War hammers were
very effective against plate armor as they were able to deliver and
transfer the full energy to the target. Swords and other bladed weapons
could only deliver glancing blows and therefore were not as effective
against armor. War hammer could puncture the knight's armor when hit
with the thinner, spiked end of the hammer's head. The Fury of Battle comes alive! This ancient weapon followed the mace in its antiquity but was every bit as fierce! 6" wide carbon steel hammer pike. Overall: 25"L |
