The club is the oldest and the most widely used weapon. All the cutting and thrusting weapons were at some point derived from the club. Even today, it is still used as a weapon by some of the savage tribes or a weapon peasants use to protect themselves against wild animals in a jungle. Wooden clubs are often weighted with metal or stone set in the striking end.
